Hello beautiful people!
My name is Colleen Shoemaker. I am a small town girl having spent my entire life here in East Texas. I believe it is one of the most amazing places on this earth. Because I truly believe that, I live right here with my husband, John, and our daughter, Katelyn. As a family, we love adventures. Whether it’s going to a local RV park, Disney, or the beach, we are all huge fans. One fun fact about me is I’m a proud cat mama! He is a big fat Persian Black Cat named Stormy.

I studied Elementary education at SFA and now teach for Whitehouse ISD. Teaching has prepared me for advocating for those who don’t yet have a voice for themselves.
Why I feel inspired to be a Woman Of Hope
I have a passion for helping others and a love for those without a voice on their own. I am honored to be a Woman of Hope because it gives me an opportunity to bring awareness to sexual exploitation and its impact in our community.
